Lord of the Rings QS Series Statue 1/4 The Witch-King of Angmar John Howe Signature Edition 93 cm
The statue sets the beginning of a wonderful adventure in the realms of Middle Earth with host the legendary Tolkien Artist John Howe whose knowledge and expertise has set the stage for developing the iconic character.
Second in command under the Dark Lord Sauron, The Witch-king of Angmar was once a mortal king of Men, he was corrupted by one of the nine Rings of Power, becoming an undying wraith in the service of Sauron.
The Witch-king is posed based on the iconic scene of the battle of Pelennor fields holding his sword on his right arm and the skull breaker on his left ready to face Eowyn. Fully sculpted the costume has been developed with high precision featuring stunning details of the fabric and armor elements of the character. An alternative right hand featuring the flamed sword of the Witch-king can be used for an alternative display of the character.
The statue sits upon a highly detailed base designed with reference to the original art of Minas Morgul by Mr John Howe and features the walls of the base of operations of the Witch-king. There can be no Lord of the Rings without the presence of a ring of power. The ring of power given to Men by Annatar surrounds the walls of Minas Morgul bounding the fate of the Witch-king.
On top of the base a removable high detailed sword and helmet of King Theoden represent the last of Witch-king victims completing the Lore behind the creation, the "life" and final kill of the deadly character.
An individual hand signed by Mr John Howe Art print completes the stunning presentation.
The Signature Edition series will be produced on very limited numbers.
